Managing Virtual Environments with Visual Studio 2010

Overview

The new Lab Management features of Visual Studio 2010 offer organisations many great productivity benefits. Lab Management enables development and testing teams to work together more effectively to optimize the build process and minimize regression-testing efforts. It helps reduce costs associated with setup, teardown, and restoration of complex virtual environments to a known state for build automation, build deployment, and test execution.

Lab Management enables testers to capture snapshots of all the virtual machines in an environment during test execution and attach it to the bugs they raise. This lets developers see exactly what the tester saw and more quickly and easily identify the root cause of the problem.

This two-day instructor-led workshop provides attendees with the knowledge and skills to install and configuration all Lab Management components including Microsoft Hyper-V and Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager. Attendees will learn how to create, manage and maintain virtual machines and templates as well as how to install and configure the necessary agents for deployment, build and test purposes.
